If you do not have an account

A session cookie is set so the site can protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Search terms you type are used to return results.

Your searches are counted in aggregate to improve ranking. Those counts are not linked to you.

If you register

An account stores the name and email address you provide, a one-way hash of your password, and your chosen time zone. Your password itself is never stored and cannot be recovered from what is stored.

Email is used to verify your address, to reset your password and to send alerts you ask for.

What is not collected

No advertising or tracking network is embedded in these pages. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party, so loading a page does not announce your visit to anyone else.

Deleting your data

Deleting your account from account settings removes the account record and everything attached to it. Contact details are published in the site footer.
